Position Title: IT Consultant
Work Schedule: Hybrid (1 day on-site & 4 days working remote)
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Overall Responsibilities:
Working for a Government Operation Improvement Firm, the IT Consultant is responsible for defining and prioritizing the business needs of the technology solution project including the review and tracking of gaps between business processes, technical requirements, federal compliance, or user experience for overall system functionality. Further, provides insight into the project and contractor methods of doing business by reviewing process and product activities for adherence to standards and plans.
Specific Responsibilities:
Designs information systems solutions to help the organization operate more efficiently and effectively.
• Facilitates software development lifecycle activities
o Conducts Requirements Gathering Sessions
o Creates artifacts relative to project initiatives
o Contributes to work plans and other deliverables
o Partners with QA to develop User Acceptance Testing
• Communicates business challenges to stakeholder and assist in developing solutions
• Identifies opportunities for streamlining procedures by applying IT best practices
• Updates and creates training and learning management system documentation

Required Experience:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• Experience: 4+ years’ experience in business planning and software development.
